WHY WE EXIST
Our Vision
To See Lives Transformed by His Presence.
Our vision is to be a church where people encounter the living God, experience genuine transformation and learn to carry His presence into their homes, workplaces, schools, communities and nations.
Our Mission
Encounter. Equip. Carry.
We exist to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus, build a strong spiritual family, raise mature disciples and equip believers to fulfil their God-given calling.
We gather to encounter God, grow through His Word and go into the world carrying His love, truth and power.
OUR THEME FOR 2026
HOME
Home is more than a building. It is a place of belonging, healing, formation and family.
Throughout 2026, we are intentionally building a spiritual home where people can encounter Jesus, grow in faith, form meaningful relationships and discover their place in the family of God.
No matter your background, your story or where you are on your journey with God, there is room for you in this house.
OUR PROPHETIC WORD
Revival Is Coming to This House.
We believe God has spoken clearly about the calling and future of Presence Church. We receive this word with humility, faith and expectation. We honour the foundation that has been laid while building faithfully—not only according to where we are today, but according to where God is taking us.
A House of Revival and Healing
Revival is coming to this house.
We believe a time is coming when people will enter this house carrying sickness, disease and physical limitations, and experience the healing power of God in His presence. During worship, prayer and ministry, people will encounter the living God and witness His power and glory in action.
This will be more than a church where people attend services. It will be a place where lives are transformed through genuine encounters with God.
A House of His Presence and Living Water
This house is a place where Living Water flows.
We are not called to complacency, empty religion or powerless services. We are called to cultivate an authentic relationship with God and create space for His presence to move freely among His people.
The fullness of God begins with our emptiness—when we surrender ourselves and make room for Him.
An Apostolic and Equipping House
Presence Church is called to be an apostolic house and a spiritual father to many churches.
This is an equipping house that will raise, prepare and release apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers. Believers will be equipped for ministry, strengthened in their faith and prepared to build the body of Christ.
International ministers will come to this house not only to minister, but also to learn from what God is doing here.
Scripture reference: Ephesians 4:11–13
A House That Impacts Nations
This church will attract attention beyond Middelburg and Mpumalanga. Its influence will reach across South Africa, Africa and the nations of the world.
Presence Church will host conferences that impact South Africa. The church will shine like a light in a dark place, and people will come in streams because they recognise that there is something more here.
People will come with excitement and expectation to learn how to walk in a genuine relationship with God. Revival in schools will begin through the people raised and released from this house.
A House Built Through Prayer and Faith
We are called to build in faith—not because of where we are, but because of where God is taking us.
Noah built the ark before the rain came. In the same way, we must faithfully prepare the house before the flood comes.
We see a team devoted to intimate prayer, intercession and spiritual warfare standing faithfully for the church and its people. As prayer rises, testimonies of God’s goodness, healing and transformation will multiply.
Featured statements:
Build the house before the flood comes.
People will come in streams because this church will have something more.
Revival in schools will begin because of you.
Isaiah 50:4
“The Lord God has given Me the tongue of a disciple and of one who is taught, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him who is weary. He wakens Me morning by morning, He wakens My ear to hear as a disciple.”
Exodus 34:10
“Behold, I make a covenant. Before all your people I will do marvels such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation; and all the people among whom you are shall see the work of the Lord. For it is an awesome thing that I will do with you.”
Supporting Subheading
The Values at the Heart of Our House.
Presence
We pursue an authentic relationship with God and intentionally make room for His presence in everything we do.
Scripture
God’s Word is our foundation, our authority and our guide for how we believe, live and serve.
Prayer
We believe prayer changes circumstances, transforms people and prepares the way for revival.
Family
Church is not simply something we attend. It is a spiritual family where people are known, loved and given a place to belong.
Discipleship
We help people grow in spiritual maturity, develop Christlike character and become committed followers of Jesus.
Mission
We carry the presence and message of Jesus into our homes, workplaces, schools, communities and nations.
OUR FOUNDATION
Rooted in Scripture. Centred on Jesus. Empowered by the Spirit.
Our beliefs are founded on the divine inspiration and authority of the Bible. They shape who we are, how we live and how we serve.
We believe in one God, eternally existing as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe that salvation, reconciliation and redemption are made possible through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
We believe in repentance, the new birth, justification through faith and a life of sanctification and holiness. We believe in water baptism, Communion and the Church as the community of born-again believers.
We believe that the Holy Spirit lives within every believer, empowers the Church for witness and service, produces spiritual fruit and continues to work through His gifts today. We believe in divine healing and the full ministry of the Holy Spirit.
We believe in the personal return of Jesus Christ, the resurrection of believers, His eternal Kingdom, the new heaven and new earth, and the final judgement.
SOW • TITHE • GIVE
Building the Church of God!
Giving is one of the ways we worship God and take part in what He is doing through His Church. Every gift helps create space for people to encounter Jesus, find community and experience lasting transformation—within our city and beyond.
“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give… for God loves a cheerful giver.”
— 2 Corinthians 9:7
